Luke 15:20 (ESV) - “…his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.”

Have you ever felt far from home—not just physically, but spiritually or emotionally? Maybe you've made mistakes, drifted from God, or simply grown numb inside. In Luke 15, Jesus tells a story about a son who walked away—but more importantly, about a father who ran to meet him.

The father in the parable didn’t wait for a perfect apology. He didn’t scold or shame. He saw his son “while he was still a long way off” and ran—embraced him, kissed him, and restored him fully.

That’s the heart of God: He moves first. He meets us not in our strength, but in our mess.

Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Now here’s the challenge: If we’ve received this kind of grace, are we willing to pass it on? 

To be agents of grace means:
* Seeing people not for their failures, but for their need.
* Moving first in love, even when others don’t “deserve” it.
* Rejoicing, not judging, when someone finds their way home.

God invites us to carry His heart—to run toward the lost, to embrace the hurting, to celebrate redemption. You don’t have to be a preacher to do this. You just have to be present. A listening ear. A kind word. A second chance.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for running toward me when I was far off. Help me to carry Your heart to those around me. Open my eyes to the lost, move my heart with compassion, and give me joy when others return to You. Make me an agent of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV) – “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together... but encouraging one another.”

When life gets overwhelming, our first instinct can be to pull away—from God, from people, from church. But Scripture calls us to draw near to God and also to each other. In Hebrews 10, we are reminded that Christ has made a way for us to enter God’s presence freely. We don’t have to carry guilt or shame. Because of Jesus, we belong.

But belonging isn’t just personal—it’s communal. We are part of a spiritual family, a body that needs each member. That’s why the Bible tells us to stir one another to love and good works. It means our faith isn’t just about quiet time or personal devotion—it’s also about encouragement, presence, and purpose together.

Maybe someone in your church or small group is tired or discouraged today. Your kind word, your presence, your prayer—might be what God uses to lift them up. Your faithfulness might just rekindle theirs.

In a world that isolates, Jesus builds community. Church is not just where we go. It’s who we are.

Ask yourself—Am I drawing near to God daily?Am I holding on to hope firmly?Am I showing up for others?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that through Jesus I can come near to You with confidence. Help me not to walk this journey alone. Teach me to show up, to encourage, and to serve with love. Let my life reflect Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:14 (NASB95) – “For the love of Christ compels us…”

When love is real, it moves us. That’s the heart of missions—not guilt, not pressure, but the overwhelming love of Christ. God didn’t just feel love for the world. He acted. He gave His Son.

John 3:16 tells us that God gave because He loved. Romans 5:8 reminds us that God loved even when we did not deserve it. This love is agape—selfless, sacrificial, unconditional. And if God loved like that, then we’re called to love like that too.

We can serve with love right where we are. Every act of kindness, every prayer for the lost, every dollar given, every step taken for missions—it matters. Whether you’re sent or you send, you are part of God’s redemptive story.

Maybe you’ve wondered: “What difference can I make?” The answer is simple—if it’s done in love, it always matters. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Even the smallest acts become sacred when done in love.

The world is hurting. But the fields are white for harvest. God is at work—even in hard places. He’s inviting us to pray, go, give, and serve with His love.

Who is God calling you to serve with love today? Maybe it’s a neighbour, a co-worker, or someone hurting in silence. Look around—and let love move you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for loving me even when I did not deserve it. Fill my heart with Your love for the lost and broken. Show me where and how to serve. Let my words, prayers, and actions reflect Your heart. Use me today to make Your love known. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Matthew 28:19 (ESV) – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

Every believer carries a powerful story—one that began in the heart of God and was fulfilled in Jesus. It is a story of rescue, grace, and new life. And Jesus calls us to share it.

Before Jesus returned to heaven, He gave a clear command: “Go.” Go where? Anywhere people need to hear about Him. It could be across the world or across the street. Making disciples starts when we open our mouths and tell others what Jesus has done.

This command can feel overwhelming, especially when we doubt ourselves. But Jesus didn’t send us out alone. He said, “I am with you always.” His presence gives us courage when we feel afraid and strength when we feel weak.

You don’t need to be a Bible expert. You just need to be faithful. Your story—how Jesus saved you, changed you, and walks with you—can lead someone else to hope.
When was the last time you told someone about Jesus? Is there a friend, coworker, or neighbour who needs to hear what He’s done in your life? God has already placed people around you for a reason. Don’t keep the story to yourself.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me a story worth sharing. Help me not to stay silent. Give me boldness to speak, wisdom to know when, and love to guide my words. Remind me that You are always with me. Let my life point others to You. In Your name, Amen.

Genesis 14:19 (ESV) – “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth.”

We live in a world where everyone’s trying to climb higher—higher salaries, higher status, higher influence. But no matter how high we climb, there is always One higher—God Most High, El Elyon.

In Genesis 14, Abram had just won a huge battle. He had every reason to take the glory, keep the riches, and accept the praise. But instead, he gave all the honor to God. Why? Because he knew his victory came from El Elyon—the one who owns heaven and earth.

When you remember that God is above all, it changes how you respond to success and how you endure hardship. You stop living to impress people. You stop panicking when things go wrong. You start living with peace, because your life is in the hands of the One who sits above it all.

Abram did not need the king of Sodom’s reward. He had already lifted his hands to the Lord. His confidence was not in human favor—it was in God’s faithfulness.

Today, you may be facing pressure to prove yourself or tempted to take shortcuts for recognition. But remember: El Elyon is your source, your strength, and your shield. You don’t have to strive for what He’s already in control of. Honor Him in your decisions. Trust Him with your victories. Worship Him with your whole life.

Prayer:
God Most High, El Elyon, thank You for being in control of everything. Help me to trust You above all else. Teach me to live with humility in success and peace in trials. I surrender my ambitions to You. You are higher, and You are enough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Throughout history, we find example after example of humanity’s attempt to position themselves above God. But Scripture reveals that regardless of our attempts, no one can ever snatch God’s title or authority from him.
