In South African black families, we have this thing called black tax, this means that when a child starts working after university, they’re obligated to take care of the elders.
For instance: father, mother, and younger siblings ECT
The thing that is draining is that these use, Some of them never properly leave the nest and fly free as they ought to, because if they don’t take care of their families, they will suffer the brunt of eitherthe the society All their own families
So where do we draw the line as the youth into saying enough is enough, without seeming as obnoxious use?
