Their latest V/A enlists eight world-class producers for a jet-lagged journey through modular mischief and transcontinental club psychedelia. It's less a compilation, more a clandestine meeting of audio agents plotting a reroute of global frequencies...For our premiere, we shine a light on Globemaster’s 'Irritilas' – a slow-motion chugger that feels like it’s been smuggled out of some sacred dance ceremony deep in the Sierra Madre. Built at a slo mo 110 BPM pace, it slinks through your psyche with rubbery bass, ritualistic percussion and arpeggios that glisten like morning dew on obsidian. The breakdown hits like hallucinatory visions, conjuring forgotten myths and almost-extinct cultures via a sequencer of infectious arpeggios.
