Muna came to the US in 2008 and studied counseling. Recovering from a serious bout of Lupus, she attended the Social Artistry Summit in Ashland, Oregon in 2016 where we met. As Director of Programming for The Actor's Gang Prison Project, Jeremie has his hands full of challenge and opportunity. Recently back from a showing of their documentary 45 Seconds of Laughter at the Venice Film Festival, he and two other project participants are providing a talk and workshop as part of the Hancock Symposium at Westminster College in Fulton, MO. Our talk is about the journey, the work, the rewards and the future.  

Lydia Isnanto grew up in Indonesia. While living in Singapore she met Doug from Houston and they decided to get married and live in Texas. They settled in Austin last year and to feed her passion for film making, Lydia signed up for a 10-week class where she was assigned to create a 5-minute film. She chose the subject of mental illness. Her fascinating story and process of making the film, THIS IS ME, fills our conversation.  

Substituting for Dick Dalton this week, Tom interviews his long-time friend Joe Mertzlufft, owner of Mid-Missouri Computer Services, Inc. Both have been Apple users since the first computers were available. They have a long history of following the technology and adapting to the changes. Joe is also an avid basketball fan and user of radio-controlled flying machines. They both promote the AppleJac Users Group.

Paul came to Columbia in the mid-90s and soon co-created the Ragtag Film Society which we know as Ragtag Cinema and the True/False Film Festival. He also served on the city council for four years. Now he feels drawn to campaign for what he believes in. Wonderful conversation.

My wife and I talk to Jim about how he got to Vietnam and then how his PTSD did not surface until about 2000. He was advised to write about those years which he did, but let it sit on his computer until about a year ago. Now his kindle version and paperback are available to the public. He has started at least 3 money-making businesses on his phone and has accumulated over 1 million followers on social media. It's a new world, Folks.

Leigh Lockhart came to Boone County from Alabama via formative years in St. Louis. Social Justice concerns started very young and were nurtured by her minister father, high school principal, and others. After getting a toe-hold at Lakota Coffee Shop, Leigh took the leap with many local supporting friends to open Main Squeeze. It has become a mainstay go to place for high quality, nutritious food.
