Hello everyone, Welcome to VIBES WEB 3 music competition week 13. It's an honor to be here again with my presentation for this week.

Today, I'll be doing a cover of the song DAYDREAM by Lily Meola. I saw her audition on Americans got talent and it was mind-blowing and it even got her a golden buzzer which was well deserved. She has such a unique and amazing voice. Aside her beautiful voice, I was attracted to the lyrics of the song.

It talks about how we have high hopes for ourselves as kids but we end up abandoning them along the line as we grow up. It really suck because that's the reality of most of us. I remember the things I dream of having as a kid but unfortunately most of them hasn't come to a reality.

The song is a form of encouragement telling us not to give up on those dreams. No matter how old we are now or how difficult things might be. As long as there is life, there is hope.

Hello everyone, Welcome to VIBES WEB 3 music competition week 7. I'm so happy to be here today to be a part of this amazing and wonderful competition this week.

Today I will be doing a cover of the song YOU ARE THE REASON by Calum Scott. The first time I heard this song was on "Britains got talent" where he was a contestant. He sang this song during his audition and through that, the song went viral. Making the song to be many's favourite including myself.

In continuation with my song's choice last week, this song fit perfectly with how I feel as a result of separation. The song talks about the length the singer is willing to go, just to be with his lover. Even if it includes climbing the mountain and swimming in the ocean, as long as they get to see each other again.

Most times I sit and think about my lost lover, hoping I had supernatural powers to locate him and go meet him wherever he is. I wish he can come back. I wish he knows I still think about him and I'd give anything just for me to see him again. The song happens to be a perfect fit for all these feelings and wants.

Hello everyone, Welcome to VIBES WEB 3 music competition week 6. I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful competition this week. Today, I will be doing a cover of the song TALKING TO THE MOON by Bruno Mars.

The song talks about heartbreak and loneliness. It's about a man who lost the love of his life. He believes she is somewhere far away longing for him too or probably just thinking about him.

I decided to sing the song this week because I've been in similar shoes lately. The thought of my very first love came to mind. We were so young and inlove. Unfortunately we never probably dated. He asked me out severally but the fact that I come from a strict family didn't give me the courage to agree to his proposal. Nevertheless, we became so close. We talked every night, texting and once in a while talk on night calls. At a point, he was my best friend and I loved him so much. When we got older, we went to different Universities and life pulled us apart. After some years, he left the country and I haven't heard from him since. Its been over 10years now since I've heard from him and sometimes I miss him so much. My heart longs for him and I blame myself for letting him go.

There you have the story behind my choice of song this week. Sometimes I sit by myself thinking about him while hoping that he's also think about me too. I hope he remembers me, remember what we shared and how special what we had was.

I really love the lyrics of the song. It's very thoughtful. Aside the amazing lyrics, I love the rhythm of the song and the beat. Everything synchronised perfectly with each other.

Welcome to Afritunes week 107. I'm so happy to be here today to share my entry for this week. It's been a while since I made a presentation here but I'm happy to be able to do so today.

This week, I will be sharing a cover of the song American love by Qing Madi. I've been listening to this song repeatedly for the past one month now and the rhythm of the song is something I find really pleasing to the ear. I don't listen to much of her songs but this particular one, I can't get it off my mind.

One of the reasons why I love the song is due to its beautiful lyrics. It's about a Nigerian lady telling her foreign boyfriend how she's going to take care of him, take him to places and show him the world. This is actually rare because mostly, it's guys that normally make such promises that to their woman but in this case, she want to be the one to give him a good experience. I find that to be truly amazing amd admirable.

Hello everyone, Welcome to VIBES WEB 3 Music Competition week 5. Today, I'll be doing a cover of the song "SOUNDS OF MANY WATERS" by Frank Edwards. This song has been the major song highlight for me for the past few weeks.

The song talks about the healing water of God which has been made available for us all. All we need to do is to tap into it to claim it. Its already ours, it flows through us. Its liken to the holy spirit and the power of God within us which is able to build and guides us wherever we find ourselves in.

This song has been been helping me to get connected with the higher power of late. It encourages me that someone is readily available for me most especially in this trying times. It jas not been easy but i know God is always there for me and He will come through. I remember the first day I heard this song, I was stuck to it so much so it was on repeat that particular day. I find myself doing that again of late, that is putting it on constant repeat. It's such a blessing to have such a comforting reminder that we are not alone.

One of the things I admired about Frank Edwards was the making of the beat of this song. The water tapping that is being heard in the instrumental is an actual and real life water tapping. I saw a video clip showing how he created the sound but pouring water into a bucket and tapping it rhythmically to create that melodious song. Aside from the melody, it gives a realistic quality to the song and for that, and that is something i love so much about the song. I hope this song blesses you as much as it blesses me.

I'm super excited to be a part of this amazing competition. I've been following the submissions from other artists and I'm simply blown away. A special shoutout to @lordbutterfly for coming up with this awesome initiative.

Today I will be doing a cover of the song "A new day has come" by Celine Dion. After thinking for a while on which song will be the best choice for this week especially being the first week, I finally decided to go with this one. I choose this song in order to mark the beginning of something great and amazing in this community.

I've been a huge fan of this song for a long time now because it has a beautiful lyrics and a lovely rhythm. It's no surprise to see how special the song is to Celine as she dedicated the song to her newborn son. She had been waiting for the gift of a child and finally she was blessed with a boy. Upon her return to stardom, she decided released this song which turned out to be an evergreen song. Ever since I've heard this song, it has been a song of hope and encouragement to me. Hope for a better tomorrow and a new dawn.

That same hope is what I have for this lovely community and this competition beacuse I believe it is going to bring lots of amazing vibes to all creative in this space.

Simi is a Nigerian musician who have this beautiful and amazing soprano voice. She had sang a couple of popular songs like Duduke, Jerome, Love don't care etc. Her voice is vert distinct and just so lovely and pleasing to listen to.

"Smile for me" is a beautiful love song that talks about being there for the one you love no matter the circumstances nor situation. How you havr to bring out your best side whenever you're around the person you love. The song is rich in lyrics and the rhythm is wonderful. The song came out around the time when I was in the University. I remember I was doing my final year lab work then. There was this particular day that I put this song on repeat in the lab and it created a strong memory in my head. Now whenever I listen to the song, I always remember that day in the lab. Lol.

Special shoutout to our Spotlight Artist for this week in person of @generp for choosing such a beautiful topic. In response to that, I will be doing a cover of the song Perfect by Ed Sheeran.

For as long as I could remember, I've been a huge fan of Ed Sheeran and this particular song is one of my favourite of his. This song describes a beautiful love story and how he fell in love sith her right from the time they were kids. The song talks about his dreams and hopes in the relationship and the great things that's about to happen to them in the future.

Love is a beautiful thing that looks past imperfection. It embraces both the good and bad. One part of the lyrics that I love is when the lady was feeling insecure about her looks and he had to assure her that she looks perfect just the way she is. When you fall in love with someone, you tend to embrace everything about them. That is the beauty of Falling in love.

Beautiful morning to you all. I welcome you to hive open mic week 190 and it is a great pleasure to be here with my presentation for this week. The theme for this week is Grace. Shoutout to this week's spotlight artist @stefanovah for choosing this wonderful topic. In response to it, I will be doing a cover of the song Grace by Lewis Capaldi. I've been a huge fan of this song for a long time due to the artist's amazing voice.

Another thing I love about the song is its beautiful and relatable lyrics. Lewis is someone that don't just write and sing just anyhow. He takes time into developing his lyrics which makes them to be so relatable whenever he sings. This song for example talks about his ex whom he doesn't want to leave nor forget about. He is keeping her memories alive even though they are no longer together. He doesn't want her Grace, composure, love and attitude leave his memories. I think it's just a beautiful thing to do and that's because of how amazing his ex was to him. I relate well with the lyrics and so I decided to do a cover of it for this week because it fits the theme perfectly.

Hello my Afritunes family,

I've missed you guys so much. Special thanks to those that checked up on my while I was away. I'm glad to say I am fully back now and super excited to share with us my presentation this week. Today I will be doing a cover of the song Birthday prayer by Godswill James. As few of you might have known, I celebrated my birthday last week. On the day of my birthday, I came across this song and I fell inlove with it immediately. It was on repeat all through the day I'm super grateful to be blessed by that song.

The song is a birthday prayer just as the name implies. It's full of blessing for someone celebrating his/her birthday and I must say the singer is supper talented. His voice compliments the song and it made it easy to be able to connect with the song. So I decided on that day that when next I made a new post on Afritunes, this will be the first song I sing. Therefore, I dedicated this song to myself and every November born🥰🥰🥰.

Since it was a guy that sang the song originally, the key he used happened to be a little high while was singing it due to the fact that I'm a woman. Our voices differs from guy's voice.
