True glory isn't found in mountaintop experiences or victories, but in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. When Jesus declared He was glorified, it was at the moment of betrayal, not triumph. The cross reveals all of God's attributes simultaneously - His holiness, justice, love, and mercy. Christ gives us a new commandment to love one another as He loved us, which means covenant love that sacrifices regardless of cost. People will recognize His disciples not by church attendance or biblical knowledge, but by how they love fellow believers. Our failures often come from trusting our own strength rather than depending on His grace, but the same cross that exposes our sin also covers it with forgiveness.
