Question 3: Why did God create the world? The answer: God created everything by his Word, not because he was lonely, but out of the free overflow of divine love, so that all creation would enjoy his glory. In this episode, we consider what creation reveals about God's character and our purpose. God did not make the world because he lacked anything or needed companionship. Father, Son, and Spirit have always existed in perfect love and joy. Creation is therefore not the result of divine need, but the generous overflow of God's goodness and love. Because God created all things, the world—and our lives within it—has meaning, order, and purpose. We were not made to invent our own significance, but to know God, enjoy his glory, and live according to his good design.
