What does it mean to have balance? Can you have it all, do it all, and be everything to everyone? We've learned the hard way that balance is something you have to be intentional about; it doesn't just happen. "Your adornment must not be merely external—with interweaving and elaborate knotting of the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or [being superficially preoccupied with] dressing in expensive clothes; but let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God." 1 Peter 3:3-4 AMP

Forgiveness is more about your freedom than it is about letting others off the hook. Have you realized just how important forgiveness is according to the Bible? Is it possible that we as Christians can miss out on all the things we so desperately want...even an eternity with Jesus?

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." -Matthew 6:14-15

It's vital that we understand how to hear God's voice because that's our lifeline to knowing what our purpose is in this life. A by-product of that is understanding the difference between His voice and the enemy's deception and lies. We've had to learn this firsthand, and it wasn't an easy process to go through. Even through the pain that came with God shining the light on hidden things, it's helped to solidify our discernment which is very necessary in moving forward in life with wisdom.

"He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him." -Daniel 2:22

There might not seem to be anything wrong with looking into personality tests or dabbling in astrology because you're wondering what your future might become. However, if there's one thing me and my husband have learned it's that God is the only one who can tell you that. There are no shortcuts to knowing your destiny and understanding your identity. Here are some reasons why you might want to think twice before letting a sign, a number, or a title define you.

"Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." -Psalm 139:16

Not gonna lie, these past few weeks have really tested our ability to "glow through it". Faith without works is dead, but it's also important what we're applying our faith to. We can be blindly believing for any and everything, or we might think that it's up to us to make things happen without seeking God first. Let's talk about the balanced way of doing our part without leaving God out.

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

Every time you watch or listen to any form of media, someone is usually telling you what you should think, how you should feel, and why you should be doing this or that. We've come to a day and age when the opinion of a celebrity carries more weight than the advice or our own loved ones. Why is this? Let's discuss why we care so much about what celebrities think.

"The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them." Psalms 135:15-18

Did you have to go through that? That breakup, that abuse, that loss, that trauma? Is it because of those things that you're stronger, or is it because God is with you that you're able to overcome them? Let's talk about the idea that God somehow "needs" your pain in order for Him to work in your life.

"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7

Dealing with difficult people and facing conflict well are not easy to do. Did you know that these things can literally affect your health? Let's talk about some practical ways we can figure out if we need to cut someone out of our life, or find a way to keep peace in the relationship and heal.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27
