God is not expecting His children to turn off their brains and stop thinking when they submit their lives to Him. It is actually an act of worship to study the scriptures in order to find out the a truth to the spiritual questions that trip us up.

----more----Life can be extremely stressful. In order to not crack, it’s important for us to set aside time each day to get alone and quiet with the Lord. Even Jesus during His ministry on earth would get away from everyone for times of refreshing with the Father.

God’s law is perfect. It proves to us that no one can measure up to his standards except for Jesus. That is why Jesus died so that we can receive the free gift of salvation. We try to live our lives to God’s standard. This is not so that we can earn our salvation. It is, however, because we love God and are motivated by out of love for Him.
