This week the Erins converse on "Cosplay Culture," available on Tubi. Cosplay has grown from a deep love of compelling characters and people's need to escape their everyday lives. If you have the ability to sew, you may be able to capitalize on the huge demand for high quality costumes. Some designers travel the world to show off their skills and appear on stage. There may be titles and prize monies for the best!

This week the Erins examine "A Hole in the Head," available on Amazon Prime. Trepanation is the practice of drilling a hole in the skull to heighten consciousness. We have archeological evidence that humans have practiced cutting holes in skulls for thousands of years. We have little evidence to support the continued practice in modern times. Just why?!

The slasher film had to get a bit more sophisticated int he 90's to keep an audience. Enter Rolfe and his self aware teenage horror flick. Unfortunately, it died right along with his characters as the interest in horror movies declined. Several years later, a little move called Scream shoes up, with much the same premise, just not credited to Rolfe.

This week the Erins race to bring you "Carts of Darkness," available on Tubi. Everyone needs a hobby. If you are a homeless man in North Vancouver, you might try riding a shopping cart down steep ass roads. Please choose your carts wisely, as they are clocked at speeds around 40mph!

This week the Erins tantalize with "Scandalous: The Untold Story of The National Enquirer," available on Prime Video. The Enquirer has a reputation for grabbing attention with crazy headlines like, "Dr Phil: Raging Monster!" or "Hilary Adopts Alien Baby!" While most stories are shamelessly embellished, this rag gets some credit for great investigative work. No one was safe from this tabloid!

This week the Erins compel you to watch "The Contestant," available on Hulu. While this isn't a true crime doc, the making of reality TV star, Nasubi, is truly criminal. Japanese reality TV can be notoriously outrageous. 1998's "A Life in Prizes" makes history by isolating a human being in a controlled environment and making him win sweepstake prizes for sustenance. He is ultimately tasked with earning his freedom on camera, for the audience's entertainment.

This week the Erins bring you a short documentary with big impact! "Little Miss Sumo" is available on Netflix, and you have 20 minutes to watch it. Female sumo prodigy, Hiyori, is banned from professional competition due to her gender. This 20 year old woman challenges tradition and stigma to win her place in the ring. She's a champion of gender equality and not about to retire quietly.

This week the Erins rap on "Mixtape Trilogy: Stories on the Power of Music," available on Tubi. Fans often discuss the effect music has on their lives. It can transport you. It can cause you to act.
