This week the Erins share another horrible story of capitalism in Episode 205, "A Brief History of Asbestos," available on YouTube. You may be familiar with the slogan "If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to compensation." Now we know why!

The Erins are pleasantly surprised in episode 204, "Secret Mall Apartment," available on Netflix. Headlines only tell the surface level story of a group of friends taking advantage of an open space in Providence Place Mall in 2007. This story is all about protesting gentrification, or performance art, or a prank, or getting one over on The Man. In total, this is an uplifiting message about bringing joy to others whenever possible.

The Erins doubt their grasp of physics in Episode 203, "Dancing on the Edge: A Ski Ballet Story," available on YouTube. This lesser known freestyle skiing discipline is described as gymnastics on skis set to music. Olympic medalists from 1988 and 1992 relay all the tea about the rise and fall of ski ballet. Don't worry, they're not bitter at all!

In Episode 202, the Erins change their tune for, "The Dancing Outlaw," found on YouTube. Jesco White has big shoes to fill as one of the last mountain dancers. While it looks like tap dancing, this style of folk dancing is unique to Appalachia. In fact, it runs in Jesco's family, as his late father is a well known local celebrity for his sweet moves.

The Erins postulate about Gen X idols in Episode 201, "Corey Feldman Vs. the World," available on Apple TV. This Corey has taken stardom to a whole weird place after being wildly successful as a youth. He can act, but singing and dancing is debatable. It's really fine since he's got a scantily clad lady band to back him up. Corey, please save yourself!

The Erins are back with cryptid chat in episode 199, "Cursed Waters: Creature of Lake Okanagan," available on Prime Video. Small Town Monsters switches it up with a different director and hosts covering Canadian lake monster OgoPogo. Lots of folklore and stories depict this lake spirit as gentle and curious rather than truly monstrous. The locals embrace their mascot and take steps to protect the lake and all wildlife living there.

The Erins are captivated in episode 198, "Jailbreak: Love on the Run," available on Netflix. Lauderdale County Detention Center holds all kinds of the accused, and Casey White is among the worst. Vicky White, Assistant Director of this facility, is a dedicated public servant who has the admiration of jail staff. Casey and Vicky strike up an illicit affair and go on the lam. Shockingly, it ends poorly, as they all do.

Episode 197 focuses on the town of Assynt in the Scottish Highlands, and the people who have chosen a quiet life. While crofts were created from necessity as people were pushed off their ancestral lands as a result of a booming wool industry, some current folks stay and honor nature and community. This is such a delightful doc!

The Erins cannot relate to the tribulations of the super rich, but they can rubberneck with the best in Episode 196, "Murder in Monaco," available on Netflix. Edmon Safra is murdered in his fortress of a penthouse in late 1990's Monaco. Who done it? The nurse? The wife? Was it circumstantial? Just when closure is within our grasp, we get blindsided with twists and turns.
