We chatted with Dooby about his whirlwind journey amongst the political community on Discord. He spoke about talking a kid down from suicide, ousting and calling the FBI on pedophiles within his community, systematically taking down and absorbing other political Discord servers, hanging out with Nazi's.....it's insane.

Eris started Calliopean Club almost 3 years ago to recreate the intellectual environment that she experienced in academic clubs during university. She believes that being around other people who want to improve themselves and learn more about the world around them, helps your own education and self growth more than anything else out there. History is her primary focus but she loves playing guitar, being in nature, and playing far too many video games.

The Calliopean Club boasts 10,000 members and is a global educational and intellectual society that encourages self-improvement through open dialogue and civil debate.
 
They host monthly seminars across a broad spectrum of topics (economics, personal health, history, philosophy, etc), debate tournaments, chess tournaments.
 
The club lives on the Discord platform. It’s similar to the Slack team communication tool, but with a heavy emphasis on voice communication. Discord took off in the online gaming community.
