Tyler hits on his desire to be a writer at a young age including drafting his own editions of an in-house publication called the Packer Weekly which he sold to his parents for $1 as a 4th and 5th grader. A couple years later, Tyler interviewed touted sports editor, Chuck Pollock (Olean Times Herald) which led to an internship under Chuck, immediately writing about the NBA and eventually going to Syracuse where Tyler learned the importance of reporting.
