The game of the week turned out to be no game at all with the Buffalo Bills knocking out the Miami Dolphins, 48-20. Overreactions to the Dolphins’ sluggish day on offense are ridiculous. These two teams just may meet two more times this season.
But what a day for Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and, without a doubt, head coach Sean McDermott. We all know this is his defense in 2023. Slowing down the Dolphin machine was a promising early sign.
The back-half of the podcast is spent discussing the rookie quarterbacks.
C.J. Stroud’s arrow is pointing up — his calm and cool confounded the Steelers, 30-6 — and co-host Jim Monos also loves what he sees in Anthony Richardson. Our resident scout is applying his unique grading system to the QBs again, and you’ll want to hear his Richardson breakdown. (You may recall Monos wasn’t thrilled with the Florida tape.)
Bryce Young? It’s early. But… no. There hasn’t much to get excited about. Not yet.
And there’s plenty of San Francisco talk. Brock Purdy was nearly perfect on Sunday and Monos had a sizzling take to share on one of his teammates.
