Whether we’re adding the key ingredient to that secret family dish or being the key ingredient in our communities, Black women have the recipe! As we prepare to gather around the table this holiday season it’s time to talk about how we nurture ourselves and how our food nourishes our mind, body and soul. In this episode, we're also taking a look at some of the empty calories that do not contribute to our success. Because overall, we want the recipe to continue to serve us! To add more flavor and spices, we have special guest Tabitha Brown who will share her career, her fundamentals for success (and the kitchen), and how bringing joy to her community led her to her purpose.
Thanks for tuning in this season - we'll be back soon!

We are back with part two of Invest in Thyself. We hope you made those deposits to grow your personal, platonic and romantic portfolios.
But today, let’s cue the 90’s soundtrack, "Let’s talk about Sex, Baby!" Black women, have been over-sexualized for decades, yet understanding pleasure and sexual exploration remains taboo. Today, we are pushing boundaries! We are having a healthy discussion around safety, kinks, partnership and communication.
We couldn’t just have one guest for this, we brought in a Unbothered Alum, Kourtney Pope of Don’t Yuck My Yummm. Then, to heat things up even more, we have the “Dr. Ruth Meets Rihanna,” Shan Broodram, sexologist and host of the Lover’s & Friends Podcast. Shan is answering listener questions, redefining healthy sex, and empowering people to be their own sex and relationships experts.

Is it time to cash in!? Today, we are going to the bank, in a two-part series called Invest in ThySelf! As the season changes and the days become shorter, it is inevitable that we will hear the phrase CUFFING SEASON.
We are kicking off, part one of “Invest In Thyself,” discussing and rethinking how we invest in interpersonal and external connections. What are we doing before entering into romantic relationships? How do we invest in maintaining healthy relationships and are we shifting to prioritize friendships over romance as the cornerstone of our emotional support? Joining the Unbothered roundtable, we have actress and content creator, Joy Ofodu shaking the table as usual in a variety of voices and sharing her new web-series Hard Launch.

Whether, it’s Serena with the left, Simone with the flip or Sha’Carri with the swift, Black women continue to put in the work within sports and the culture. Flowers are far overdue and the list continues to grow as Black women put in both mental and physical sweat, equity and labor within the sports industry. On this episode, we're shedding light on our women in sports and the problematic concerns around pay, player treatment and personal style despite their dedication to the craft. Our special guest is the passionate, smart and talented Nigerian-American WNBA Player of the LA Sparks and President of the WNBPA, Nneka Ogwumike. She shares her long career journey, how a “little” advocacy goes a long way and the effects of what happens when you give women space to use their voices in the sports industry.

Our special guest, viral sensation, XXL Freshman Class of 2022, artist & songwriter, Kali brings all the tricks, treats and toxic chocolate! Kali shares how she got her start in the music industry, why tunnel vision is so important to her and how she is focused on a season of fun.

How are you?! No really, we think it’s time for a wellness check in. Being healthy is not easy and can be very confusing for Black women. The Unbothered crew kicks off a two-part wellness series, internal and external.
