She is a musician born in Cape Town, South Africa of Dutch and Indonesian descent, but is a musician from London, Ontario best known for her involvement with Kittie - A Canadian heavy metal band formed in London, Ontario in 1996 when she was 14 years old taking her worldwide. A true anomaly of her time. She left Kittie in 2001 and did some work with Pigface and also as a solo artist under the name Amphibious Assault as well as her own name. I wanted to make sure that we got into the stories behind what made Kittie what it is. She has held various roles at the Budweiser Gardens, has founded several festivals, has and does freelance production work for festivals like TIFF, Way Home, Digital Dreams, and more. She also managed Dundas Place in London, Ontario at the time of this interview. She loves community building, connecting people, and collaborating. She has a 3-year old son and her whole life revolves around music, art, and community. We are quite excited to see what she has next in-store. He owns and operates the artist and project management firm Ogichidaa Arts, he produces the sākihiwē festival, and volunteers on the Board of Directors for the Polaris Music Prize, the Indigenous Steering Committee for the National Music Centre, and the Rap and Indigenous Category Committees for the JUNO Awards. He has 13 years of experience at Manitoba Music where he learned a lot of the skills required to do what he does.
