The opening ceremony of Winter Olympics is held on February 4th in 2020. The mascot of the Olympics are a Panda named Bing Dwen Dwen(ビンドゥンドゥン）and a lantern named Shuey Rhon Rhon.

In Japan, we have a labor day on Nov. 23rd. Just a national holiday. No fancy food are provided. In the U.S., Thanksgiving day is in November, and it seems a special gathering for families.

Ramen restaurants are very popular in Japan. The origin of Ramen is China, but it is modified in Japan. 

This week, the media only talked about the presidential election of the Liberal Democratic Party, Princess Mako's boyfriend, and a typhoon.

Sushi is not always about raw fish. There are various styles of Sushi in Japan.

Mr. Andrew Parsons mentioned Kintsugi which is the method of repairing a broken ceramic using the natural resins.
