Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola are undoubtedly two of the biggest coaches in England right now, and perhaps even the entire world of football. Both these guys have proven themselves to be master tacticians who can build a team and dominate a league. They both did it in Germany and are currently doing it in England.

So here's the thing about football. You see, we may all have different football opinions. And we may even support different teams. But if there's one thing we all share in common, it is that we all love football and are passionate about this sport. Take Liverpool, for example. They have a tradition before the start of games at Anfield. You see, before every game at Anfield, the Liverpool players have always had this tradition of touching a sign that says "this is Anfield". Now, this sign is located right at the exit of the dugout. 

So whenever they file out, the players just touch it. And apparently, this tradition is supposed to be for good luck during games. And mind you, it is also a long-time tradition at the club, with many former legends also taking part in it. And well, they kept this tradition going for many years. Until something happened, which made the players stop this tradition.

The 2006 World Cup final will always be remembered as the last time, Zinedine Zidane played for the French national team. The talented footballer was considered one of the best footballers in the world and was part of a Real Madrid team that was so good, no team wanted to get on their wrong side. Now, let’s get back to the 2006 World Cup Final. You see, Zidane’s penalty kick had already seen off Portugal in the Semi-finals to set a mouth-watering clash with Italy in the finals. And with Zidane already announcing that the World Cup would be his last appearance as a footballer, surely it was time for him to bow out in glorious fashion. Or so we thought. Well, it surely was not a happy ending story as the famous French man was shown a red-card for headbutting opposition player, Marco Materazzi on the chest. Ouch that must have hurt pretty bad.

We can’t categorically tell you who’s madder about Mo Salah’s form so far this season – his Fantasy Premier League owners or the owners of Liverpool who just made him the highest-earning footballer in the club’s history.

For the past 4 seasons, one word that has constantly been used to describe Salah is inevitable. You didn’t know how or when he would do it, but you just knew that Salah would always find a way to get a goal contribution no matter how badly Liverpool were playing. It’s no wonder the Egyptian has won 3 Premier League Golden Boots and 1 Playmaker award since joining Liverpool in 2017.

But since he got the 350k contract he had been asking for, it seems like we started seeing a completely different Salah. 6 games in and the Egyptian King is nowhere close in the Golden Boot race with only 2 goals scored. It is very unlike him.

It’s easy to blame it totally on Liverpool being bad this season, but even when every Liverpool player was excellent against Bournemouth, Salah was still distinctly bad. 8 different outfield players got, at least, a goal or an assist that day, but Salah was not one of them.

So, why has he been that bad? What really is wrong with Salah?

Liverpool are currently on a downward spiral. Everything that could possibly go wrong is currently going wrong with the club. They failed to win any of their first 3 opening games in the Premier League, then needed a 98th-minute goal to secure a win against Newcastle.

Yes, there was that trouncing of Bournemouth in between but then they were not able to even get a goal against Everton in the Merseyside derby. And they went on to lose their opening Champions League game against Napoli in embarrassing fashion.

We’re currently witnessing one of the worst starts to a season Liverpool has ever had, and right now, the pressure is mounting on Jurgen Klopp.

It gets worse when you look across and see that Chelsea, who have won more games than Liverpool this season and even currently sit above them on the table, just let go of their coach who won the Champions League more recently than Liverpool.

It makes you ponder; could Jurgen Klopp be nearing the end of his Liverpool career? You know what? That’s a huge possibility.

Yes, he experienced a dip like this in 2021, but bounced back last season to win 2 trophies, coming really close to winning an unprecedented 4. Also, he is a really loved figure at Anfield.
