Pep Guardiola is a genius of a manager, for sure. Hate him or love him, you just have to respect how much he has achieved as a manager in just a little over a decade. Dr David Sorbal, along with a couple of other astronomers, some time in 2015, discovered a galaxy which, according to them, had existed for about 13 billion years. They named that galaxy CR7 and admitted that it was inspired by the 5 time Ballon d’Or winner.

When Liverpool signed Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim and put a 98 million euro release clause in his contract, that surely was not bizarre. Liverpool stated that their new striker could be sold to any club for 98 million euros provided that club is not Arsenal. That is to say, the Merseyside club was willing to sell their star striker to even their neighbouring rivals, Everton, but surely not Arsenal.

The money paid to lift Neymar from Barcelona in 2017 was not the only shocking thing about that move. Apparently, a clause was included in his contract that allows the Brazilian to earn 375,000 euros per month if he claps to the PSG fans at the end of every game.

Wow. Don’t you wish you were Neymar right now and are being paid to clap? We sure do!

Anyway, PSG came out to clear the air that their number 10 doesn’t earn that bonus for just clapping. He also had to be polite to journalists and reporters, show up to training early, and not bet on competitors.

There’s a new Champions League record-breaker in town. And who would have guessed that it would be the West Ham United flop, Sebastien Haller?  The Ivorian who signed with West Ham for a club-record fee in 2019 never actually got to hit his peak for the London club. He only managed 10 goals in 2 years before he moved to his current club, Ajax Amsterdam.   So far, Haller has been having the time of his life at Ajax, especially in the Champions League. Manchester City's season may have looked a whole lot different had things played out differently in the summer. Bernardo Silva was strongly linked with a move away from the club, as City successfully pursued Jack Grealish and unsuccessfully chased Harry Kane.

In the end, Silva stayed where he was and the Portugal international has arguably been the team's standout player this season. His brace against Watford put City back on top of the Premier League on Saturday night.

Bernardo Silva stood out once again, grabbing two goals after Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola's side. Cucho Hernandez pulled one back for Watford late on, but it was too little too late. Sterling's goal came just four minutes in. Bernardo Silva played a pass out to Phil Foden on the left-wing, which the Englishman then controlled before sending in a cross for Sterling to head home from close range.

City doubled their lead in the 31st minute, as Ilkay Gundogan's shot was saved by Daniel Bachmann but fell at the feet of Bernardo Silva, who got away from William Troost-Ekong before managing to score from an acute angle. Just shy of the hour mark, Foden ran at Kiko Femenia and drilled a shot towards a goal that hit the post and went behind.
