Goal Setting is talked about a lot. But... in my experience poorly applied.


Today, we are going to get down to absolute basics and talk about how to make a SMART goal and then how to create an over arching strategy to achieve performance results.


There is a practical component in this podcast episode so get ready to get busy!


SMART stands for:

  • SPECIFIC
  • MEASURABLE
  • ACHIEVEABLE
  • REALISTIC
  • TIME ORIENTATED


Remember your barriers can be:

  • family support or lack off
  • Your team support
  • Biological
  • Self-belief
  • Operational so transport, access to equipment and other factors
  • Psychological


Barriers are facts of life, whether real or perceived. It is important to talk them through when setting goals so when things get hard, you don't stop.


And remember, consistency is the most important variable of success in most cases.
