In this episode we speak with AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper coach Ashley Bayes.
Ashley played near to 600 games during his professional playing career at clubs like Torquay Utd, Exeter City and Leyton Orient.
One thing that always shone out in his game was the enthusiasm and will to play with a smile on his face.
These are values he now passes on to his goalkeepers as a coach at AFC Wimbledon.
Ashley joined AFC Wimbledon in 2003 as a player coach and has worked with a number of goalkeepers at the club during his time there, including Aaron Ramsdale (Sheffield Utd).
Jim and Ashley have a great conversation about the importance of enjoying your work as a player and coach, the attention to detail across your methods and ethos as a coach, always looking at ways to learn and expand your knowledge, how they analyse their goalkeepers and the role a professional goalkeeper coach has now at professional clubs.

In this episode we speak with Houston Dynamo Goalkeeper Cody Cropper. Cody moved to the UK from the USA when he was 17 years old to sign for Ipswich Town. He went on to play for Southampton and MK Dons before returning to the USA to sign for the New England Revolution in the MLS.
Cody shares with us his experience of having to make a big decision at such a young age to leave home and move to new pastures.
