exodUS --- Exodus 19:3-8

The deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt began a whole new paradigm in their relationship to God. They knew that the vastness and might of God was not something that could be approached lightly. God, however, had a vision of a kingdom of priests where we could be sanctified; we could be made worthy to be in God's presence. To the Jews, it began as the Law. For us, it was fulfilled by the life of Jesus.
