Psalm 32 ~ Blessings of Forgiveness
Embrace and enjoy the blessings of forgiveness that bring safe places, heavenly instructions, and rejoicing.
Psalm 32
1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not cover my iniquity;
6 Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to You at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.
7 You are a hiding place for me; You preserve me from trouble;
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding,
10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous,
Scriptures:
* Matthew 7:24-27 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
* John 14:26-27 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. “
* John 16:13 “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on his own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come.”
* Ephesians 3:14-21 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Psalm 31 ~ Fortress & Redeemer
Let us ask God today to redeem and help our current circumstances, the lives of those around us, and especially those in deep suffering and need—physically, emotionally, spiritually.
Passage: Psalm 31
Scripture Highlights:
* Psalm 31:2-4 “Incline Your ear to me; rescue me speedily! Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me! For You are my rock and my fortress; and for Your name's sake you lead me and guide me; You take me out of the net they have hidden for me, for You are my refuge.”
* John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I [Jesus] came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Jesus came for the oppressed, the captive ones.
* Psalm 82:3-4 “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
* Luke 4:18-21 (from Isaiah 61) “‘The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.’ Then He [Jesus] rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on Him. He began by saying to them, ‘Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.’”

Psalm 30 ~ Asking for Joy
Trials will come. God brings Joy. Pray for His Joy.
Psalm 30:5 “… Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”
Psalm 30
1 I will extol You, O Lord, for You have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to You for help,
3 O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol;
4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you His saints,
5 For His anger is but for a moment,
6 As for me, I said in my prosperity,
7 By Your favor, O Lord,
8 To You, O Lord, I cry,
9 “What profit is there in my death,
10 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
Additional Scriptures:
* 1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?”
* John 14:16-17 “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. You know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
* James 1:2-4 “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
* Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
* John 15:11 “These things I [Jesus] have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”

Psalm 29:
1 Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name;
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf,
7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth
10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
11 May the Lord give strength to His people!
Additional Scriptures:
References to Holy Spirit made by Jesus...see John 14-16
* Genesis 1:1-3 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”
* Colossians 1:15-17 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
* Zechariah 3:1-2 “Then he [an angel] showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. The Lord said to Satan, 'The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?'”
* Malachi 3:10-11 “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts.”

Psalm 28 ~ Protecting Us
We can cry out to God with the expectation that He hears us. We need His help. He rescues and protects us. God is strong…He is our shield and our Shepherd King.
** Psalm 28
1 To you, O Lord, I call;
2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy,
3 Do not drag me off with the wicked,
4 Give to them according to their work
5 Because they do not regard the works of the Lord or the work of His hands,
6 Blessed be the Lord!
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;
8 The Lord is the strength of his people;
9 Oh, save Your people and bless Your heritage!
Scriptures:
* Romans 12:16-21 “Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.’ …Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
* John 1:1-5 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He [Jesus] was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
* Colossians 1:16-17 “For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
* 1 John 4:4, 13-15 “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He [Jesus] who is in you is greater than he who is in the world…By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”
* John 10:14-16 “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know Me, just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.”
* Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him
* 1 John 3:1-2a “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God's children now…”

* Psalm 105:4-5 “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered…”
* James 1:5-6 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”

* Job 36:7, 10-11 “He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous…He opens their ears to instruction and commands that they return from iniquity. If they listen and serve Him, they complete their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasantness.”
