Our studies have been looking at a vision for the modern church. We’ll now begin studying directions given to a specific church, and glean all manner of useful admonitions for us along the way.
1 Cor 1:1-9
We’ve been talking about how a church should operate. In this study, we’ll look at practical application of these principles, and while this message was aimed at one local church, there are take-aways for all of us.
Matt 5:13-16
It wouldn’t be a surprise if you thought of worship as something that only happens when you’re within the confines of a church building. But our study today makes the case for worship being something we’re doing all the time.
Psalm 150
We’re being challenged to be ready to respond to Gospel assignments. How does one become ready? Great question. We’ll explore it in this study.
Colossians 4:2-6
Have you ever stood in line to see a Christian celebrity? What were the feelings you came away with? Was there perhaps a sense of a religious hierarchy? This person will obviously be given an elite parking spot in heaven. We’ll go to work on these feelings in this study.
Ruth 4
Is outreach all about a well-crafted sales-like program, or is it more of an extension of the work the Spirit is doing in our lives? Do we have to “become” someone to be ready for outreach? We’ll explore this topic in our study.
Colossians 4:2-6
“It takes a village.” True in the distribution of the Gospel? If so, what are the other components of Gospel ministry? We’ll explore this question in our study today.
Acts 17:11
Read a dozen books on rock climbing. Or spend 20 years exploring great routes, challenging yourself, and gaining (calloused) hands-on experience. Which is the rock climbing expert? Is there a parallel to learning about God? We’ll look at learning in this study.
Acts 17:11
Which is more attractive—a gathering of stoic, dourer, serious individuals, or a group of joyful, happy people? While the answer is obvious, the path to being a joyful people may be less obvious. We’ll look at the keys to joyful fellowship in this study.
1 John 1:1-4
Have you ever considered the relationship between the way church members get along and their alignment with what that church hears from the pulpit? Can a church body that disagrees on doctrine still have real Biblical fellowship? We’ll explore these challenging questions in this study.
