God Centered Life

Is freedom allowing yourself to give way to your own natural desires, or is freedom giving yourself away in service to others in love?

If you're following Jesus, do not be discouraged if you are experiencing a contrary current flowing against you, for it is living faith that swims upstream and only dead faith that floats downstream.

Paul was a man of passion and commitment. God uses us as he finds us, and he changes our heart and direction and gives us a new nature and desire. All of Paul's passion is now being used to glorify God.

We have a constant tendency to veer away from the freedom of the gospel. The price of real, spiritual freedom is to guard it and stand firm upon it.

Our typical assumptions about freedom today have to do with politics or economics or morality. We need to hear what God means by real freedom, and Paul discusses that in Galatians.

So many people today wonder why God would judge us and why He can't just forgive us. It all seems so unfair to them. Pastor Josh discusses the need to focus on the cross in order to find where love and mercy meet, and where justice and truth triumph.

If you are being persecuted for being a child of the promise, it is a telling identity marker that you are His. Who are you really? Are you defined by your parents, where you live, your gender, or by your relationship with Christ?

Paul is launching identity markers for the Galatian church. He's calling them to put their identity in the Bible storyAbraham, Isaac, Christrather than in a religiosity, Pharisaic, legalistic identity. Do you identify yourself with God's grace-filled people?

Paul lays out characteristics of proper pastoring because the Galatians were facing false teachers. How do we spot true gospel pastors?

These verses help us to discern good pastoral leadership, appropriate discipleship, and the right way to accept shepherding. We want you to have the tools of discernment so that you can receive true biblical teaching.
