This week we explore the ever-presence of God. He is an ever-present help (Psalm 46). God honors his children. They are always at his right hand. This symbol of authority and honor is very old. We find that the patriarchs would give the greater blessing by having the favored son stand at their right hand. The lesser blessing was offered to the son at their left hand. God doesn’t hold you in his left hand, he holds you in his strong right hand, the place of greatest honor, authority, blessing.
