Being devoted means you are loyal.

So as Christians we are supposed to be devoted to the one God that we serve and we can do that by dying daily to sin.

By taking up your cross and follow steadily behind God allowing Him lead the way or better still allowing Him to be the driver of your life.

Another way that shows that you are devout Christian is when are not ashamed to preach or identify with Christ, He too will be bold and proud of you.

You must be ready to loose your life to follow Him, and that's letting go of things that you count so important. Example, obeying God by dropping your certificate you were supposed to use to get a good paying job to do missionary work, it's could be so annoying at the beginning but at the end you will be grateful you actually obeyed.

Esta es otra semana de Afritune y esta semana haré una canción de un artista de gospel nigeriano llamado **Sinach**, la canción se titula **Simply Devoted**.

Ser devoto significa que eres leal.

Entonces, como cristianos, se supone que debemos ser devotos del único Dios al que servimos y podemos hacerlo muriendo diariamente al pecado.

Tomando tu cruz y siguiendo firmemente a Dios, permitiéndole que te guíe o, mejor aún, permitiéndole que sea el conductor de tu vida.

Otra forma de demostrar que eres un cristiano devoto es cuando no te avergüenzas de predicar o de identificarte con Cristo, Él también será audaz y orgulloso de ti.

Debes estar dispuesto a perder tu vida para seguirlo, y eso es dejar de lado las cosas que consideras tan importantes. Por ejemplo, obedecer a Dios al dejar caer tu certificado que se suponía usarías para conseguir un trabajo bien remunerado para hacer trabajo misionero, puede ser muy molesto al principio, pero al final estarás agradecido de haber obedecido.

**My Inspiration**

The book of Exodus 20:3-7 explains the whole song.

All Glory belongs to God and not any man.

God doesn't expects us to worship nor to bow to any other god. Our God is supreme and so no one, power, deity can stand the awesomeness of His power.

His presence is a terror to other gods.

His magnificent power and glory cannot be measured up to anything whatsoever.

His overwhelming power is supreme.

This is another week of Afritune and this week I'll be doing a song by a Nigerian Gospel artist by name **Yadah**, the song is titled **Free of Charge**.

I can remember the very first day I heard this song I was elated, it blessed me massively.

The lyrics alone is so captivating.

***My inspiration about the song***

Imagine if all of us were to pay for our sins, My! God we would be long gone by now because the debt accumulated for so long a time is enough to make us think and die.

Imagine buying a ram to sacrifice or atone for the sins of all your family members and loved ones, I tell you that you won't be able. Being the bread winner of a home is already exhausting, then Imagine buying one ram each(which is equivalent to 50 to 100 HBD) and atoning for the sins of all your loved ones. Hmmm.

When we sit back and calculate all these then we would have no other choice than to appreciate the rare gift of sacrifice Jesus did for us.

He paid it all, free of charge.

The devil has no legal ground against us, we are free and aquited.

This is my entry to Hive Music Festival week 93 round 3. Today I'll be doing a song title **Open the eyes of my heart** originally done by **Micheal W Smith**

This song ministers so much to me. The physical Heart is what bumps blood to all part of the body. If it stops then that means the person bearing the heart is dead.

Opening the eyes of my heart is a figurative language, which means one's spiritual eyes must be open and your heart must be open for God to dwell there in, because without God you are a dead man spiritually even if you should be walking and your physical heart is still pumping .

The writer of this song must have known the importance of the spiritual eye being open that is why he wrote it.

Imagine your physical eye being blind, it will be difficult for you to work or walk well. Your spiritual eye is supposed to be open and not closed or blinded

This can only be done if you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.

No one can actually see God with actual human eyes so you must open the eyes of your heart so that you can see Him and He dwells with you.

Greetings my fellow Vibes Web3 brethren 😁😁. This week's theme is **ROOT**. When I first saw it I was wondering why the theme was **ROOT** but as I read further I understood what was really needed.

Today I will be doing the first song I ever composed and was recorded. It was composed way back 2018.

This song came as a result of what I was going through at the time.

Yeah! It seemed I was drifting away from God, I knew I was and the devil kept using that to taunt me, so I had to brace up myself, trace my step back to God and tell Him that I still love Him. I had to renew my vows and love to Him. Funny as it may Seem the Holy spirit is a good lover, He is a good listener, drifting away from him won't solve the issue you are facing.

He's one person that teaches us how to love genuinely.

If you don't know how to love genuinely then go to the Holy Spirit for love tips 😄, He'll be lenient enough to share it with you🤗🤗🤗

Hoy haré la primera canción que compuse y grabé. Fue compuesto allá por 2018.

Esta canción surgió como resultado de lo que estaba pasando en ese momento.

¡Sí! Parecía que me estaba alejando de Dios, lo sabía y el diablo seguía usando eso para burlarse de mí, así que tuve que prepararme, trazar mi paso de regreso a Dios y decirle que todavía lo amo. Tuve que renovar mis votos y mi amor hacia Él. Por gracioso que parezca, el Espíritu Santo es un buen amante, es un buen oyente, alejarse de él no resolverá el problema que enfrenta.

Es una persona que nos enseña a amar genuinamente.

Si no sabes cómo amar genuinamente entonces acude al Espíritu Santo para recibir consejos de amor 😄, Él será lo suficientemente indulgente como para compartirlos contigo🤗🤗🤗

A lot I've been happening but I am grateful to Abba for life.

So this week's theme is **Mercy** and it was chosen by @oluthomas, thanks for this theme.

When you hear the word mercy what comes to your mind? Mine I see **pardon**, when you have mercy on someone that means you are pardoning the person.

He or she must have deserved the punishment you wanted meting out on him but you applied mercy and the individual was free.

That was exactly what Christ did for us on the cross, He bore all our sins and transgressions, the fact that He didn't complain is what makes me wonder what manner of man He was. No matter how much I love my siblings or husband I'm not sure of taking any form of punishment not to talk of dieing for them, Never🤦🤦.

Mind you Christ never died a normal death He was put to death through the worst kind of death which is crucifixion 🥺🥺🥺.

Take your time and read Isaiah 53:3-12, you will understand all what Christ did for you and me🥺🥺🥺🥺.

So when I saw this week's theme the song titled **Mercy** done by Legendary **Cece Winas** came to mind. She's one gospel singer I love so much 😍.

Me han ido pasando muchas cosas pero le estoy agradecido a Abba de por vida.

Cuando escuchas la palabra misericordia ¿qué te viene a la mente? El mío veo **perdón**, cuando tienes misericordia de alguien eso significa que estás perdonando a la persona.

Él o ella debe haber merecido el castigo que querías imponerle, pero aplicaste misericordia y el individuo quedó libre.

Eso fue exactamente lo que Cristo hizo por nosotros en la cruz, Él cargó con todos nuestros pecados y transgresiones, el hecho de que no se quejó es lo que me hace preguntarme qué clase de hombre era. Por mucho que ame a mis hermanos o a mi esposo no estoy segura de aceptar algún tipo de castigo por no hablar de morir por ellos, Nunca🤦🤦.

Eso sí, Cristo nunca murió de una muerte normal. Fue ejecutado mediante el peor tipo de muerte que es la crucifixión .

And the only person that gives genuine peace is our Lord Jesus Christ. The song I am singing gives me the insight to knowing that doing God's will is wanting peace for yourself.

As a Christian you would agree with me that every and any thing God has ever asked us to do is for our own good.

Wanting to obey God's will is wanting peace for yourself.

When you seek God's first every other thing will be added unto you (peace inclusive)

Good morning from Nigeria 😁😁 this is week

15 of the vibes web3 music competition and I am so excited to be doing this again with you all.😊😊.

I was down in health and I'm trying to recuperate 🤦🤦, aside that I just finished a youth conference at my local church and it really tell on me such that it affected my voice, so I'll plead to be pardoned with my cracked voice🤦🤦🤦.

Before I begin i'd love to say a big thank you to @lordbutterfly, @Verbal-d and the entire vibes community for this great initiative, I'm grateful 🙏.

So for this week I will be doing a song originally done by **Lauren Daigle** titled **You Say**. So I've been meaning to sing this song for quite a long time now but I keep postponing. The song ministers so much to me especially in my down period. It reminds me of what and who really God is. His thoughts and plan towards me and humanity as a whole. Going through the lyrics you'd agree with me that the writer of this song really had me in mind when she wrote this😊(I don't know about you 😉). The lyrics are so so powerful, and I am sure you'd love it. I had to be peeping through the lyrics at some point, but I'm happy I was able to sing it through despite my cracked voice and health.
