Godcaster 2

You got a brand new identity in Christ. But are you still wearing the old clothes?

Most of us know that something changed when we came to faith. What we're less sure about is what that means for how we actually live — what we put on, what we take off, and what we've let quietly stay in the closet because it still fits a little too comfortably. In episode two of our series A Life Unleashed, Christine Caine opens Colossians 3 and does what Paul does: gets practical.

In this episode, Christine Caine uses the extended metaphor of a spiritual wardrobe to unpack one of the most practical passages in the New Testament. Since we have been raised with Christ, Paul says, there are clothes we used to wear that simply should not fit us anymore, and there is a brand new wardrobe hanging in the closet that most of us haven't fully tried on yet.

Christine is honest about what her old wardrobe looked like before Christ and what it meant to discover that those clothes were slowly destroying her life. She makes the case that getting dressed spiritually doesn't happen by accident any more than getting dressed physically does. It takes intentionality, daily decision, and a clear sense of who you are representing. The takeaway that will stay with you: the sin you won't kill will end up killing something else (your relationships, your peace, your witness) and through the power of the Holy Spirit, you have the agency to choose differently every single day.

✨ If you've ever asked questions like…

✅ I'm a Christian but I still struggle with the same things, is something wrong with me?

✅ How do I actually change my behavior? Is it willpower, or is there something deeper going on?

✅ What does it mean to put off the old self and put on the new self — practically?

✅ Why does setting my mind on things above actually matter for how I live down here?

✅ How do I stop being complacent about the things in my life that I know aren't right?

✅ Does how I live as a Christian actually affect people around me who don't believe?

✅ What does God's wardrobe for me actually look like, and how do I start wearing it?

…then this is your episode.

What you'll learn:

→ Why Paul starts with mindset before behavior — and how where you set your mind determines what your spiritual wardrobe actually looks like, whether you realize it or not.

→ The specific clothes Paul says to take off and put on in Colossians 3, why they're not arbitrary rules but a direct reflection of your new identity in Christ, and how to start wearing them with intentionality every day.

→ Why the sin you don't name and don't kill has a way of killing something else — and how the power of the Holy Spirit gives you genuine agency to choose a different wardrobe, starting today.
