When grief and loss hit us, we tend to think to ourselves, God, what did I do to deserve this? As if it were a direct response to or a consequence to something that we did. We also assume that when our plans don’t work out that it was a mistake. Maybe it was or maybe it wasn’t but I also learned that we will always experience the same traumas that were left unhealed /open ended for one reason or another. We are meant to learn and grow in this one life. You can’t experience light without experiencing the darkness too. This is the beauty of our experiences because this is how God can take our messes and turn them into miracles. This is how God works!
