Matt was called away for a family thing right before we started recording, but Ryan and Dan battled through some technical issues to bring this latest episode to your earholes.

Drew Brees made some incredibly ignorant, insensitive, and inflammatory remarks during a recent interview. He was then excoriated in the press, by other high-profile athletes, and by some of his own teammates. The "apology" he first issued wasn't much better than his initial remarks. 

Dan was set to light into Brees before Ryan pointed out a more recent set of apologies from both Drew and his wife, Brittany. Brees' latest apology makes it seem like he finally understands what the Black Lives Matter movement and Colin Kaepernick (and others) taking a knee is all about.

The murder of George Floyd in the middle of the street in broad daylight by four Minneapolis police officers rocked the nation. Protests and riots have spread and are continuing in every state and in hundreds of cities throughout the country. The protests against police brutality and racism are even happening in several other nations around the world.

As is his wont, Donald Trump is only making things worse while he struts around after gassing protesters in Lafayette Square so he could awkwardly hold up a Bible in front of a church after being mocked for hiding in a bunker at the White House.

We end the show with a short, previously unreleased clip from our interview with Brandy Hamrick in November of last year after receiving the OK from her husband, Sam. Thank you, Sam. Brandy was an incredible human being who is sorely missed by everyone who knew her.
