No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
Temptation is a reality for all of us—and our children are not exempt. From peer pressure at school to subtle suggestions on social media, they are constantly confronted with choices that can lead them closer to God or pull them away. As godly parents, it is not just our responsibility to warn them about temptation—it is our calling to equip them to flee from it. Let’s take inspiration from Joseph in Genesis 39. When Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him, Joseph didn’t entertain her. He didn’t flirt with danger. He ran. He fled—not out of fear, but out of reverence for God. That moment of obedience, though it led to hardship, also led to promotion and purpose.
