Title: The Function of the Resurrection
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:35-49
Speaker: Pastor Ben Jennings
Date: September 14, 2025 (Sunday Morning Worship Service)
We get some insight into the future reality and nature of how the resurrection will function by studying three categories of lesser to greater comparisons.
Comparison #1- Seed: Sowing & Reaping (v. 35-38)
Comparison #2- Body: Corruption & Incorruption (v. 39-43)
Comparison #3- Source: Adam & Christ (v. 44-49)
4 Implications – (Lesser to Greater)
Future Hope: The wonders of our current bodies should give us incredible hope for our future bodies.
Future Reality: The wonders of our current creation should give us incredible hope for the new creation.
Future Intensity: The pain, suffering and corruption of this life are short term, and less intense than the glory of heaven and the agony of hell.
Future Investment: What is seen is temporary and finite, while what is unseen is eternal. Invest wisely!
