Our feelings and emotions are our God given instincts to be trusted in every situation.
When we experience any emotion like anxiety, depression, stress, mad, glad, happy or sad, we are to take one or more of six actions:
Flight
Fight
Freeze
Fawn
Faith
Acceptance
Many of us are stuck in our healthy childhood responses of Freeze & Fawn.
these were the safest options for us as children, but as we grow up we are meant to put away childish things and embrace more adult responses like:
Flight
Fight
Faith
Acceptance
As long as we take some form of these actions, all will be well. But ignore our instincts, medicate our emotions, deny our emotions and we are our own worst enemy.
We are destroying our very soul.
