Isaiah 8:17
A Purpose Driven Life, Rick Warren 2002 "Let me warn you: When you decide to live a totally surrendered life, that decision will be tested. Sometimes it will mean doing inconvenient, unpopular, costly, or seemingly impossible tasks. It will often mean doing the opposite of what you feel like doing."
John 10:10-11
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
Romans 5:3-5 3
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Luke 7:36-50
One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to eat with him, so Jesus went into the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table. A sinful woman in the town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house. So she brought an alabaster jar of perfume and stood behind Jesus at his feet, crying. She began to wash his feet with her tears, and she dried them with her hair, kissing them many times and rubbing them with the perfume. When the Pharisee who asked Jesus to come to his house saw this, he thought to himself, “If Jesus were a prophet, he would know that the woman touching him is a sinner!” Jesus said to the Pharisee, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” Simon said, “Teacher, tell me.” Jesus said, “Two people owed money to the same banker. One owed five hundred coins and the other owed fifty. They had no money to pay what they owed, but the banker told both of them they did not have to pay him. Which person will love the banker more?” Simon, the Pharisee, answered, “I think it would be the one who owed him the most money.” Jesus said to Simon, “You are right.” Then Jesus turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? When I came into your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she washed my feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. You gave me no kiss of greeting, but she has been kissing my feet since I came in. You did not put oil on my head, but she poured perfume on my feet. I tell you that her many sins are forgiven, so she showed great love. But the person who is forgiven only a little will love only a little.” Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” The people sitting at the table began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” Jesus said to the woman, “Because you believed, you are saved from your sins. Go in peace.”
When we do not understand something we fear it, when we fear it we reject it or run from it. Embrace all forms of God's love. God Bless.
Idols are things you value over having faith in God and that He will provide what you need. Just as clothes that no longer fit us need to be let go for others to enjoy, when we are spiritually growing in God's Love there are things that no longer fit to who God has created us to be. God created us perfectly just the way we are naturally, so the closer I got to God the less I wanted things that changed how I looked or needed "man made" things to make me feel better about who I was. Letting go to God feels like "freedom and love with wings" When I am doing what God calls me to do I know He has a great purpose for me in that calling.

Nehemiah 2:18 They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work.
When you step forward to serving a greater purpose than yourself, God will make a way. God will always finish what He starts within you.

God Bless each and every one of you. God created you perfectly as you are. He created you with a special purpose. There is no one else in this world like you. You are precious in God's eyes.

Luke 18:9-14
To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'“I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
