Are you ready to venture on an enlightening journey through the Bible, exploring the complex narratives of Jesus's post-resurrection appearances and ascension? We continue our exploration by painting a vivid picture of the women at the tomb, the disbelief of the apostles, and the recognition of Jesus in the breaking of bread. We invite you to ponder the transformation of the chief priests from the Old Testament to the New Testament and how their deep knowledge of the law blinded them to Jesus as the Messiah. Luke 24 narrates the glorious account of Jesus' resurrection. It begins with women discovering the empty tomb and encountering angels declaring Jesus alive. He then appears to the gathered disciples, showing them his wounds to prove his identity, eating with them, and explaining how his death fulfilled prophecies. Jesus commissions his followers, instructing them about repentance, forgiveness, and the coming Holy Spirit. The chapter closes with Jesus ascending to heaven, leaving the disciples joyful and worshipful.

In John 20, Mary Magdalene discovers the empty tomb and encounters Jesus, initially mistaking him for the gardener. Later, Jesus appears to the disciples, including Thomas, who initially doubted Jesus' resurrection until seeing and touching his wounds. Jesus emphasizes the importance of belief without seeing. In John 21, Jesus reveals himself to the disciples by the Sea of Galilee, performing a miraculous fish catch. He reinstates Peter and gives him a mission, emphasizing the importance of love and discipleship. These chapters portray Jesus' post-resurrection appearances, solidifying the faith of his disciples and commissioning them to spread the gospel.

In Matthew 28, the narrative unfolds with the discovery of the empty tomb by Mary Magdalene and the other Mary. Suddenly, an angel appears, announcing the resurrection of Jesus. As the women hurry away, Jesus meets them, confirming the angel's words. He instructs the disciples to go to Galilee, where they witness His glorified presence. Here, the Great Commission is given, urging the disciples to make followers of all nations, baptizing them and teaching Christ's commandments. The chapter ends with Jesus promising to be with them always, empowering their mission.

Mark 16 recounts the remarkable event of Jesus' resurrection. As the Sabbath ends, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bring spices to anoint Jesus's body. To their astonishment, they find the stone rolled away and an angel announcing Jesus's resurrection. Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene, and later, to the disciples, commanding them to preach the Gospel to the world.
