Exodus 10-12 details the final plagues that God sends upon Pharaoh and the Egyptians to convince Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery. These plagues include locusts, darkness, and the death of the firstborn. Pharaoh finally agrees to let the Israelites go.

Exodus 7-9 describes the story of the ten plagues that God sent upon Egypt through Moses and Aaron to convince Pharaoh to release the Israelites from slavery. The plagues included turning the Nile river to blood, an outbreak of frogs, gnats, flies, diseased livestock, boils, hail and fire, locusts, darkness, and the death of the firstborn. Despite each plague, Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go.

Exodus 4-7 details Moses' encounters with God and Pharaoh. God commissions Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and perform signs to prove his authority. Moses initially resists due to his lack of confidence in public speaking, but God gives him the ability to perform miracles (such as turning his staff into a serpent). Pharaoh initially resists Moses' demands to release the Israelites.

Exodus 1-3 tells the story of the Israelites, who were living in Egypt as slaves to the Pharaoh. The Israelites had grown in number and the Pharaoh feared their power, so he ordered that all male Israelite children be killed at birth. However, one Israelite woman, named Shiphrah, gave birth to a son and hid him for three months. She then placed him in a basket and set him adrift in the Nile River, where he was found and adopted by the Pharaoh's daughter. The boy, Moses, grew up in the palace, but later fled to Midian after killing an Egyptian who was mistreating an Israelite. In Midian, Moses married and had children, but later received a message from God through a burning bush, calling him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.

In Genesis 48-50, Jacob (also known as Israel) blesses his sons before his death. He gives a special blessing to Joseph's two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, and tells them that they will become great nations. He also gives specific blessings to each of his other sons, including the tribes that will come from them. Jacob also reunites with his son Joseph, who he had not seen in many years, and gives him a portion of land in Egypt. In the final chapter, Jacob dies and is buried in the land of Canaan. 

Joseph also comforts and reassures his brothers that although they meant to harm him, God had used their actions to preserve many lives. His brothers then come to him and bow down before him, and Joseph forgives them for their past actions.

Genesis 46-47 tells the story of Jacob and his family, who are also known as the Israelites, moving to Egypt during a famine. Jacob's son Joseph, who had been sold into slavery years earlier, is now a powerful leader in Egypt and invites his family to come and live in the land of Goshen. Joseph also reunites with his brothers, who had sold him into slavery, and forgives them for their actions. The Israelites multiply and flourish in Egypt, but eventually become enslaved by the Egyptians. These chapters set the stage for the Israelites' eventual liberation by Moses as told in later books of the Bible.

In Genesis 43-45, Jacob's sons, excluding Benjamin, travel to Egypt to buy grain during a famine. They meet Joseph, who they do not recognize as their brother, and he tests them by accusing them of being spies. Eventually, Joseph reveals himself to them and forgives them for selling him into slavery. He also invites the rest of their family to come live in Egypt, where they are reunited and provided for during the famine.

Genesis 41-42 tells the story of Joseph interpreting Pharaoh's dreams and becoming the ruler of Egypt. Pharaoh had two dreams that troubled him and he asked his wise men to interpret them, but they were unable to. Then Joseph, who had the ability to interpret dreams, was brought to Pharaoh. Joseph interpreted the dreams as predicting seven years of plenty, followed by seven years of famine. He advised Pharaoh to prepare for the famine by storing up grain during the years of plenty. Impressed by Joseph's wisdom, Pharaoh made him the governor of Egypt and put him in charge of the preparations for the famine.

Genesis 38 tells the story of Judah and his family, specifically focusing on his son Er and his daughter-in-law Tamar. Er and his brother Onan are put to death for their wickedness. Tamar, believing she has been wronged, disguises herself and seduces Judah, becoming pregnant with twin sons. The story illustrates the consequences of sin through the actions of the characters.

In Genesis 39, Joseph is sold into slavery in Egypt, becomes successful and respected member of Potiphar's household, falsely accused and thrown into prison. In Genesis 40, Joseph uses his ability to interpret dreams to gain favor and rise to power in Egypt, eventually becoming a powerful and respected leader. This further illustrates the theme of God's providence and plan for Joseph despite difficult circumstances.

In Genesis 35, God tells Jacob to return to Bethel and make an altar there. Jacob does so and God reaffirms His promise to Jacob and his descendants. In chapter 36, the genealogy of Esau is provided. Finally, in chapter 37, Joseph, one of Jacob's sons, is sold into slavery by his brothers.
