***Jehoshaphat: 2 Chronicles 20:1-26. God may be ready to fight your battle, but there are some things you must do to get in His Will to be the person that He will defend, protect or bless! The story of Jehoshaphat found in 2 Chronicles 20:1-26 is a good example of how hope, fear, doubt, seeking, belief, trust, unbelief, faith, walking by faith, receiving the victory are related. These are the steps, circumstances, or situations that we find ourselves in when a serious problem suddenly comes on us. Less serious problems may not include all of these relationships, but it seems like most do. I pray this message will help you in facing your present and future problems because you will know you have the ability to make the correct choices that will have to be made when you are faced with any problem, regardless how great it might seem. There is enough mercy and grace for any situation if we turn to Jesus with all our heart and ask for help, Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” ****Understanding the relationships between these words will give you confidence when you are seeking God about your problems or concerns.
****Jehoshaphat, a great story! When King Jehoshaphat heard he was surrounded by three armies, He didn't immediately know what to do and feared, then set himself and all Judah to seek the Lord. Obeying the Scripture promises, they fasted and prayed three days before the Temple, then God spoke through one of the priests and said, "Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou King Jehoshaphat, 'Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow go ye down against them:...Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.” Jehoshaphat accepted God's Word,(Christ), and he and all Judah bowed their heads and thanked God for His answer. The next morning they marched out the gates of the city singing and praising God, and God performed the victory for them as they watched. It took them three days to gather all the spoils of the battle and then on the next day they gathered for a day of praise and worship. (Note in Psalms 22:3 that the Scripture states that God inhabits the praise of His people, so God went before them in their praises of verse 22.) ****I will show that God was the Rock of the Old Testament salvation and Christ(God's Living Word) is the Rock of our New Testament salvation. Jesus did not say in Matthew 16:16-17 that Peter would be the Rock of His, Jesus’, Church. Christ, the living, creating power of God, Rhema, not Peter is the Rock of our salvation. Christ is our hope of Glory, Col 1:27, not Peter. I want to clear up the confusion which you might have about whether or not Jesus said He would build His Church on Peter? No! Jesus was referring to the Living Word of God, Christ, Who had taught Peter that Jesus was the Christ, the son of God. Jesus goes on to say that we all, you and I, must be personally taught by God's Living Word, Christ, as Peter was in, John 6:45, "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me." Each of us must be taught by the Living Spirit of God, Christ, to come to Jesus for salvation, in the same manner Peter was taught by Jesus’ Father through His Spoken Word, Christ, in Matt 16:16. Christ, the Living Word, in our new heart is the Rock of our salvation, not Peter. We call out to Jesus, God, for salvation, He in return sends His Living Creating Word, Christ, into our hearts to create in us our new hearts, Ezekiel 36:26, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new Spirit(Christ) will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you and heart of flesh. (27) And I will put My Spirit(Christ) within you,.." That is how you receive the new "Born Again heart by His Spirit of Christ creating in you the new heart and putting His Spirit(Christ) into the new heart."

****There are many very important subjects that are not being discussed correctly in our Christian community, and there are many popular beliefs that are completely made up and have no mention whatsoever in the Bible. You must get involved and seek the truth for your salvation because when you stand before God, and we all will, it won’t matter what I believe, what anyone else believes, it will only matter what you believe, and ignorance will not be acceptable because Proverbs 24:12 states, " If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not He that pondereth the heart consider it? and He that keepeth thy soul, doth hot He know it? and shall not He render to every man according to his works?" You may not remember, but God does remembers the thoughts you went through in your younger years to decide to neglect or deny Him. Love yourself and family enough to seek God until you know He has revealed to you the truth about salvation and how to obtain salvation to become a child of God! I don’t know what it would take to convince you of the reality of God, but God does and He will answer you in personal ways that you will know it is Him and not your imagination, and again I don’t know how He will reveal Himself to you, but I know He Will.

****I will be sharing today about one of the confused topics that is being taught on false beliefs and misuse of the Scriptures, for God will actually change many times as a result of our prayers(talking to God). I will read many Scriptures that show God changed because of someone's prayers, and He even sometimes changed just in His Mercy. Our image of God is very serious because it determines how we choose to relate to God. The only way we can relate to God and be pleasing to Him is through His perfect Word to faith, Heb11:6---Faith only comes by hearing God’s perfect Word without any changes by us in any way. We must hear, accept, and obey whatever is God’s Pure Word for us to receive faith. Any change to God’s Word and He will not back up what we are claiming, or speaking. We are ambassadors and must not change His message, His Word, in any way when we teach or confess His message, Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every Word of God is Pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. (6) Add thou not unto His Words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” We are found to be liars if we add to or take away from His Pure Living Word, Christ, because God will not back up our word, only His Pure Word, Christ.
****Today, I am going to share with you that God will sometimes actually change things if you will only talk to Him with an honest, open mind and heart. I will share two areas in our lives that God has limited Himself to not know about us. If you listen in you will see that both areas are a very special blessing to us. I am going to give you the Scriptures and the only way to be pleasing to God is to accept the Scriptures by being open like Saul (who became the Apostle Paul) was when Jesus told him that he was wrong and was persecuting Jesus. Paul accepted and the first thing he said was, “Lord what would you have me to do.” Just because you have never heard of two areas in our lives that God doesn’t know, if it is in the Scripture, you need to be open to believe and receive them into your heart to faith. Suicide--Loss of hope! All means to correct circumstances gone! Nowhere to turn! May seem odd or useless to you but just call out to Jesus and see what He might do! ****Suicide is increasing in our society. Today is especially a critical time because so many people look happy and act like they are having fun while even that is causing the suicidal person to hurt more. Be careful how you treat people. People are living with so much hurt from death of loved ones, divorce, fear of the troubled times, fear of losing jobs, how to pay the bills with so much sickness, etc. If you are starting to to feel hopeless in many areas of your life, don't call it quits by considering suicide until you have at least tried or given Jesus a chance. I don't care what your religious past has been, just call out with a sincere heart and ask for His help. Jesus will send you the help you need as long as you are open and honest in your request. I can't tell you how, because everyone's situation is different, but I know He will reveal Himself to you because He created you and loves you and wants a personal relationship with you. You are very special to Him.
*** Suicide is one of the leading means of death in our society and is increasing because of the virus and our present country situation. The Scriptures state in Proverbs 13:12, "Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:,,," When a person loses "all" hope: job, friends, family, or you do something and you see no way out, and on top of all this you see no love from anyone or any where to turn--the sick empty heart wants an escape!-death, end it all. But, that is not the end of it all: an eternity of hell or heaven waits just on the other side, instantly you will be in God's presence or the total separation from God which is the beginning of an eternity of suffering in hell and the lake of fire.
If you have young people in your family pay particular attention to them and maybe even ask them about their friends because suicide is the second highest leading cause of death in young people ages 12 - 24.
