God’s Word And Daily Prayer For Today

There is admonition here to get rid of division and unite in Christianity. Jesus came and taught his followers to be of the same mind and declare the same testimony about the intended purpose of the gospel of Christ. Looking then at the division in the world and even in Christianity today we should understand the obvious actions of God. Let’s unite believers and defy division among us.

We are admonished by the apostle and reminded that we cannot please God living contrary to his instructions. But, if we live by his word, we know and have assurance by the in dwelling of the Christ of God; that in that great day when Jesus shall descend in the clouds with the trump of God, coming to get the righteous ones of God, we will be able to go back with him.

Some understanding derived from this part of scripture is that God does not forsake his own. Like then even now non-believers tried to stop the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They tried to stop it by putting Jesus own the cross; but he is our risen Lord and Saviour. They tried to stop Christianity by murdering the Apostles; but them became martyrs and furthered the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Here they have falsely accused Apostle Paul and we’re trying to shame him but God allowed even in his bondage favor from the people, even from some of his captors. Point here is even though we suffer ridicule, abuse, even mockery, it will promote and further the gospel of Jesus Christ. People can murder people but they can’t kill the cause. God won’t let be.

We learn here an example of godly wisdom. Jesus choose a man born blind and of a common life to perform a miracle. So we see here that socio-economic status in life doesn’t move God; but faith in him is what moves him. The chosen people of God, it seems, are the ones that complained and still complain about who, what, where, and how God chooses to demonstrate his love and compassion. Thank God that he is healing, delivering, prospering, and saving more than just the affluent in life; but those that believe in their heart that he alone is God.

Again, we see the agape’ love of God. This scripture is provided for our edification and exhortation. When and if we commit sin we have an advocate with the father; Jesus Christ, the righteous. However we go astray, true repentance made from an honest heart moves God. When people hold fast to the gospel, from this example, should not want to hold people guilty when they repent ; but rather rejoice with them for their genuine effort to get back to the truth. Since God forgives, my friends, so should we.

The wisdom discovered here warned the believers then and warns us even now that to just talk about the gospel of Jesus Christ and not do what it teaches is what defiled them then and us now. Beware of those that teach the gospel and don’t do what it teaches and choose to follow those that teach and do. Jesus taught that a man must be born again and those that followed his teachings were filled with the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost and since then for those that diligently sought and seek him. It’s what’s in the heart of a person that determines their destiny. Seek not to be satisfied following the traditions/customs of the contrary to gospel teachings of men. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and receive salvation or deny him and be eternally lost.

Here we see again the agape’ love of God through his son Jesus to Christ. Jesus warned his disciples of the forthcoming atrocities that will be impose upon the church by nonbelievers, those that don’t know the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and don’t know that they don’t know. These are the teachers and preachers without the in dwelling of the Christ of God by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. However the church is reminded that for those that believe and embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ in the end when Jesus comes to get the righteous at the great resurrection shall be caught up to meet him in the air.

The apostle John salutes the seven churches of Asia; and declares when, where, and how, the revelation of Jesus Christ was made to him; to declare it to the Pastors of the seven churches in Asia Minor. We see that God allowed the Apostle, who was caught in the presence of God that he would understand what God wanted man to understand. He gave it to the Angels; whose responsibility it is to make the people of Gid aware of what the futures held. This is also known as the “Eschatological Apocalyptic Jesus Christos” (The Revelation of Jesus Christ). Thank you mighty God for your continuous and consistent love.

Here the apostle exhorts the church to stedfastness in the faith. He warns the people of the potential danger of being infected by false teachers and preachers, of the dreadful punishment which shall be inflicted on them and their followers. The man of God here provides some insight and an awful description of gospel seducers and their deplorable end; falling into the hands of the living God.

The Apostle here cautions the church against being surprised at such deceivers arising among them.

John the elder/pastor prays for brother Gaius, a very compassionate, faithful, reliable, genuine Saint in the church that was suffering with poor health and that while sick some had illegally, deceitfully, and intentionally taken his possessions. The wisdom of this prayer is for us to follow the doctrine of Jesus Christ, no matter what and God will be with us. Our God is the restorer and repairer of all breaches, and restitution is one of his great qualities.
