In Matthew 7, there is a famous passage where Jesus says of certain people: I never knew you.

People have infamously used this to say that it refers to backslidden Christians, but it could never mean that; for that would mean that the words of Jesus are not trustworthy.

He confidently affirms that He will never lose any of His sheep, that none that comes to Him will perish, that He will keep safely and raise on the last day.

I believe I am in His Kingdom now and forever, do you believe it?

The words of Jesus that guarantee the safety of the saved man are loud, bold and authoritative. He emphatically declares, 'they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand.' (John 10: 28).

I believe Jesus, do you?

This is a disruption in the flow of the episodes, an intermission so to speak.

We speak highly of Tongues and we should, but we owe it to ourselves and the world around us to go beyond tongues, to proceed into the very things of God's Spirit that tongues serves as the doorway to.

Jesus died for our sins, do you believe it?

Doe his sacrifice settle the sin problem in your heart or you have doubts?

Have you forgotten that your sins are washed? Or have you disregarded the fact that your sins are forgiven?

The words are 'that whosoever believes...'. The question is, what does it mean to believe?

It sounds simple, and it really is, but we miss the simplicity many times.

His redemption is the forgiveness of sins, not the pardoning byt the deliverance from sin.

'for you shall call His name Jesus, for He will deliver his people from their sins'. Those words are important, those words need to be understood.

Far too often, we stress forgiveness of sins as pardoning of the acts of sin, but Jesus' work was clearly spelt out as a deliverance and not a mere pardon.

When we think of forgiveness of sins, we often think of the pardoning of the acts of sin. In some sense, this is true. However, the forgiveness of sins Christ offers is much more than that, it is a deliverance.

God sees forgiveness as a cleansing, a sanctification work, a washing, a deliverance. We must see it that way too to better value the work of Christ.

As we proceed with the details of the charter of our faith, we explore the words 'Jesus died for our sins.', or at least we begin to do so.

If God forgave sins before Jesus died, then what do we mean by 'Jesus died for our sins'?

What do we really believe then?

God has put His Spirit in us, that is true, but we often miss this one thing; that God has put HIS LOVE in us by His Spirit.

And it is important that we see this. The work of His Spirit is the work of the men in whom He has put His Spirit.

See that man or woman, boy or girl? Love them like Jesus.
