Joshua 11 and 12 complete the conquest of Canaan. Amidst the lists are the critical things that God wants us to know. We’ll see that no matter what is arrayed against you on your journey, by faithfully following and depending on God, he will give you victory. We’ll also see that the command to tell others about Jesus is a necessity on our journey.

Are you comfortable with the image of God the warrior, Christ the Warrior King? Joshua 10 provides a clear picture of God fighting for his plan and his people. Are you asking God to fight your battles with you and for you? Are you fighting the battles that God has called you into?

Joshua 9 shows the dangers of not consulting God. But we also see the mercy and grace of God.

Joshua 7 shows how seriously God takes sin. His judgment is upon Israel, and they are defeated in battle at Ai. But God’s mercy is seen in Joshua 8 as Israel repents and God gives them victory.

The Battle of Jericho provides the example of how obediently following God provides our victory. We also take a look at understanding the violence seen in Joshua.

Joshua 5:1-12 provides an example of how our faith can affect seeing God’s faithfulness. God’s promises won’t change, but our trust is a variable.

Joshua 3 demonstrates God’s faithfulness to overcome any obstacle. Joshua 4 tells us of the importance of remembering God’s work. What obstacles are you facing? Will you give them to God to overcome for you?

Joshua 2 pauses the conquest to bring us a beautiful story of faith in action, individual faith that allows God’s faithfulness to be seen. And what God can do with our faith and action together is unimaginable.

Joshua 1 provides the tools we need to remain faithful to God during change. We will surely see God’s faithfulness through God’s promises, presence, Word, and people.
