God's Work In Us - Philippians 2:12-18

What is God’s work in the lives of believers in the midst of a fallen world? In Philippians 2:12-18, Paul urges the Philippian believers to work out their own salvation that God has worked in the world and continues to work in them (vv. 12-13). God’s work in the covenant community should make them stand firm in the midst of a corrupted world and crooked generation (v. 15). Paul then commands the believers to continually live in obedience and hold fast to the word of life (v. 16). God’s work in the lives of the believers brings about assurance of complete salvation and constant joy in the church.
