Lucas & Maxi
I really liked this storyline. Loved Lucas & Maxi together! The sexy times were molten hot!!!! So happy that they ended up together like they always should have been. Things were a little rocky at times but it all worked out.
Another great book in this series!

Great series and characters!
Great series and characters. I have already downloaded the 3rd & 4th book. Can't wait to hear Derek's story.
Quick and easy listen
Maxie is moving on from the death of her emotionally abusive and neglectful husband. Who just happens to be the brother of her best friend and love of her live. Lucas is helping Maxie to start life over after he finds out that his brother left her destitute and dishonored because of his shady dealings.
I really felt for Maxie and Lucas because they had obvious carried strong feelings for each other for quite some time. But Lucas's brother was incredibly selfish; he never cared about Maxie but only used her to hurt Lucas. They were forced to keep distant from one and other because of him.
This was my first from Carly Phillips without Erika Wilde. Won't be my last. Very easy to follow and not too dragged about. I like Sophie Eastlake performance. It's very direct.
