Publisher's Summary:
'In these memoirs I bounce all about British TV with such success that I wind up in radio. I will also be filling a few holes that I left in the previous decades. For example, I managed to forget in book one that I had been shot. Twice.'
Danny Baker's first volume of autobiography, Going to Sea in a Sieve, was a Sunday Times best seller, acclaimed for its nonstop humour and anecdotal flourish. It told the exploits of Danny's extraordinary childhood and the wild living of his teenage years. Now he is 25, and it is 1982, and he embarks on an accidental and anxiety-induced career in television - going off alarming. With rollicking good stories from what he describes as 'a frankly crackpot life', Danny continues this stupendous chronicle with irrepressible verve and hilarity. Dozens of TV shows - many of them lousy - give up their backstage stories, and Danny's extraordinary family, particularly his father, Spud, react to the ride throughout. Game shows, talk shows, adverts and TFI Friday are but a few of the unplanned pit stops along the way. Not forgetting the tale of Twizzle: the dog who hanged himself, died, then came back to life again.... Clearly, this will be no ordinary show business stroll down memory lane.
Read by Danny Baker.

Danny Baker at his best and in his own words.
I laughed out loud so many times listening to this. Really worth listening to. Go for it.
Fantastic!!
As good as his 1st book Going to sea in a sieve. Download them both now, I can not recommend them enough. Brilliant stories that are laugh out loud funny.
Effortlessly entertaining
Another bright & breezy entry of Dannys memoirs. Really pleasurable to listen to. In case this hasnt been mentioned already there is an edit missed at 7.09.41.
More Baker Banter....
A good follow Up To Going to Sea in a Sieve proving that Danny Baker is the luckiest man alive. He just seems to be in the right place, at the right time, all the sodding time! That gripe aside he's a born story teller and this is s cracking listen. Recommended!
A Riot From Start to Finish
At last!
I've waited patiently for the second volume of Danny Baker's memoirs for what feels like ages, and it doesn't disappoint. This volume deals largely with his years as a TV presenter and features in a supporting role the wonderful Spud.
It is, a riot from start to finish.
