  • What was the World Wrestling Federation like in the '90s?

One wrestler who entered WWF in 1994 was a man named Mike Droese. In WWF, he was called Duke “The Dumpster” Droese. His wrestling gimmick was that of a garbage man. He would carry a trash can to the ring each week and feud with aristocratic characters like Jerry “The King” Lawler and Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Triple H). • WWE star attacks Taylor Swift and debating the greatest manager ever

WWE Smackdown star Grayson Waller recently made headlines by starting an online feud with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. He invoked the name of the rumored celebrity couple when he made this statement: “Hey, good for Trav. Like, I’m not the kind of guy that would settle for a 6, but each to their own. Me personally, I like a bit of spice.” The other topic we tackle on this episode is the debate over the greatest wrestling manager of all time. This follows an appearance over the summer by Paul Heyman on ESPN when he was asked who the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) of wrestling managers was. Heyman says it’s him. But when he was asked about legendary manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan (who many consider the GOAT) he said “Screw him, he’s dead.” So we take up the debate over who the best of all time really is.

  • Mass layoffs hit WWE and Vince McMahon's future with the company

For weeks, there had been talk that WWE would start cutting staff following its merger with UFC into the newly formed TKO Group. That process really became noticeable last week when — on what some are calling “Black Thursday” multiple low and high profile wrestlers were cut from the roster. The two most high profile wrestlers were Dolph Ziggler and Shelton Benjamin. In this episode we also look at the long term future for longtime WWE owner Vince McMahon. His role with the company has shifted following the merger as he’s now a minority shareholder. But the company still considers him the head of WWE.
