It was 1988, a year after the iconic Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant at WrestleMania III in Pontiac, Michigan. There was a record 93,000 fans on hand to see that match. The following year, Hogan vs. Andre remained at the forefront of wrestling fans’ minds. But the Hulkster had lost the title and was looking to regain it. So a tournament was settled upon with Hogan and Andre the marquee names.

One wrestler who entered WWF in 1994 was a man named Mike Droese. In WWF, he was called Duke “The Dumpster” Droese. His wrestling gimmick was that of a garbage man. He would carry a trash can to the ring each week and feud with aristocratic characters like Jerry “The King” Lawler and Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Triple H). They were natural rivalries, the working trash man versus the upper-crust snobs. Droese shines a light about the unofficial group backstage known to fans as “The Kliq."

In 1983, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka was at the height of his celebrity. Considered by many in the world of professional wrestling as the World Wrestling Federation’s top star just below Hulk Hogan. WWE Smackdown star Grayson Waller recently made headlines by starting an online feud with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. We welcome the “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase and current star of WWE Raw Bronson Reed. Dibiase is arguably one of the greatest wrestling “heels” in history. Reed is a current star on WWE Raw. On the latest episode of Going Ringside we talk to legendary fighter Ken Shamrock. Shamrock has started the fighting promotion Valor B.K. (Bare Knuckle) where the fights focus on bare knuckle fighting as opposed to UFC which uses gloves. Shamrock said much of the fighting he did in the late 1980′s and 1990′s was bare knuckle and no rules in early UFC where he became one of the first big stars.
