Going The Distance Podcast

Back and better than ever for a football-dominated episode of the Going The Distance Podcast. We start things off by explaining why the NFL's new taunting rules are complete bulls*** as well as some of the main takeaways and "learning points" from week 2 in the NFL. Ryan and Elijah also give their early season college football bold predictions ranging from a Fresno State NY6 bowl to an Ohio State collapse. Switching gears, the guys also cover some breaking news out of the NBA as Ben Simmons wants OUT of Philly. To close things off, another installment of everyone's favorite segment: Love it or Loathe it.

For some reason, Ryan's mic decided to s*** the bed right before recording, so apologies for any difference in quality. On ep. 38, Ryan and Elijah discuss the USC coaching vacancy as well as some never-ending NFL debates. This time, the guys close out the episode with an edition of "Tail or Fade" - a degenerates favorite gamblin' game.

Week 1 of NFL Football did not disappoint, and the guys are back to give their takes and overreactions for what is still to come this season. Ryan and Elijah take to the internet to rate some of your NFL Hot takes before diving into a debate about the future of college football. Tuesday live show means we end this one off with another installment of Love it or Loathe it.

Today is all about predictions ahead of the 2021 NFL Season. Ryan and Elijah are here to bring you their full NFL Awards predictions ranging from Super Bowl matchup all the way down to Defensive Rookie of the Year. We also introduce a new segment in this episode called "Tail or Fade" where Ryan and Elijah read each other their picks, and the other has to decide whether to tail the pick, or fade it. Simple enough.

Apologies in advance for the technical difficulties on episode 35 of the Going The Distance Podcast, but alas, the show must go on. Ryan and Elijah give their full reactions to week 1 of college football ranging from 19-point underdogs to Coach O's "Sissy blue" shirt. Aside from College Football talk, the guys discuss Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett, UFC's newest media star. As always, this episode is concluded with another installment of Love it or Loathe it.

In episode 34 of the GTD podcast, Ryan and Elijah break down the ongoing lawsuit between Nerlens Noel and his former agent Rich Paul before building their all-time great Mount Rushmore choosing from 1 QB, 1 RB/WR, 1 Coach, and 1 defensive player based on their collegiate career. The guys also preview some of week 1s biggest college football games before wrapping up the episode with Love it or Loathe it.

Somehow, someway, Bishop Sycamore fooled ESPN into broadcasting their fake school on national TV against IMG. Ryan and Elijah break down why this is the funniest thing to come out of sports news in a while before creating an NCAA Football program tier list, featuring the majority of the relevant power 5 schools. Last but not least, the guys round things up with an intense round of Love it or Loathe it The visual version of episode 33 is up on the GTD YouTube and Twitch as well.

Due to some technical difficulties the recorded version of this episode was delayed in the uploading process. In episode 32, Ryan and Elijah are joined by Cole Marchi to break down the GTD podcasters fantasy league draft and analyze the podcast's team. Aside from that, the guys give their full NCAA football predictions for this season before rounding out the episode with another installment of Love it or Loathe it. This will be the last live episode on Wednesdays as now GTD is moving to a Tuesday/Thursday twice a week format throughout football season.

Considering we had a relatively slow week in sports, we're doing something different this episode. Ryan and Elijah break out the tier list maker as they rank all 32 NFL fanbases based on their level of toxicity. In more NFL news, the league has been pushing some new rules against taunting and we are here to explain why it sucks. Last but not least the guys give their top five predictions for 2021's leaders in passing, rushing, and receiving yards respectively before closing things out with a segment of Love it or Loathe it.
