Gol Bezan

In a country where just a short decade ago no women were allowed to play the beautiful game, Katayoun Khosrowyar (Kat) an Iranian American has made great strides in the progress for women playing soccer in Iran. An inspiring thing to see, and further proof that soccer knows no bounds.

In this edition of Gol Bezan we are joined by Eamon Zayed, Irish/Lybian footballer who was Perspolis's miracle worker, scoring a hat-trick against Esteghlal in the last 10 minutes of the Tehran derby while being down to 10-men. He talks about his love for Iran, admiriation for Ali Karimi, and situation before and after the incredible hat-trick.

This is our interview with Daniel Norouzi. He is a Danish professional footballer who plays for Vejle Boldklub.

Norouzi made his youth international debut for the Denmark national under-16 football team in September 2007. He played his first competitive international game in the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship qualifying round in September 2008.

He has played a total of 31 games for various Danish national youth teams, including two games for the Denmark national under-20 football team.

Norouzi was born to Iranian parents and is eligible to play for the Iran national football team.

We interviewed Alecko Eskandarian. He is an American former soccer player of Iranian Armenian descent. He is the assistant coach for New York Cosmos and head coach for their reserve team, New York Cosmos B. Alecko spoke about his father Andranik Eskandarian (former player of Esteghlal F.C.), his career and whether or not he would've played for the Iranian national team.

This is the second part of our interview with Daniel Karbassiyoon. In this pod, Danny Karbassiyoon talks about his life as a scout for Arsenal FC, personal life and about the new projects he currently is working on.

This is part one of our interview with Daniel Karbassiyoon. Karbassiyoon is a former professional footballer with Arsenal who was forced to retire at 22 due to recurring knee injuries. Soon after hanging up his boots, he was hired as a scout for Arsenal and spent 7 years scouting the Americas full time before recently moving back to London.

Despite his short-lived career as a player, Danny made three appearances for the first team in 2004, becoming the first American to score for the Gunners when he scored the winner against Manchester City in the League Cup. He later went on loan to Ipswich Town before signing for Burnley Football Club in 2005. In 2007, Danny re-signed for Arsenal as a scout and has since been credited for finding Gedion Zelalem and Joel Campbell.
