Why is this so important? In the virgin birth we see that Jesus is unique - He is fully human and fully God. This makes Jesus the perfect mediator and only effective sacrifice for our redemption. Through Jesus we can be redeemed, knowing a relationship with the Father that we could not achieve on our own.
