At our 8:15 service on Pentecost Sunday, Joyce explores how the Spirit can breathe new life and purpose into us, sharing powerfully from her own story as she reflects on the Spirit who gives new life in creation, at Pentecost, and in our lives today.

In our Deuteronomy series, we are not going into the detailed aspects of the law codes of Deuteronomy on Sunday mornings&name; instead we are focusing on big themes and ideas within the book. But the law itself is a vital thing for us to grapple with, so Dave led this session to help us work out how to engage with the Law as Christians today.

What does it mean to sing, or believe, that God has 'new mercies' for us every day? We explore that together, asking what it is that dominates our thoughts when we wake up, and what God might want to say into that.

What should worship look like? As we get into the first big section of the law material in Deuteronomy, that is the question at hand. For Israel, there was a command to centralise worship, but why was that law given, and is that still a right approach to worship today?

We continue our exploration of the life of Abraham, and this week come across a strange character: Melchizedek. But who is this man, what did he do, and what can we draw from his story today?

Zacchaeus was a man who was seeking Jesus, just wanted to see Him, find out what He is like. What he discovered was that Jesus was already seeking after him! Are we willing to discover the same thing?

Before we come to the major section of Deuteronomy which is all about the giving of the Law and its instructions for living, Moses makes something very clear: it is the people's hearts that God wants to be in line with His&name; He does not just want rule-followers, but people who are willing to be shaped by Him and transformed from the inside out. And He still does!

Not long after Abram was called by God, Abram faced difficulties and had to make a choice. He chose to take things into his own hands, and how things played out show us some powerful things about the nature of God's grace and what it means to trust Him fully.

The word 'reckless' is often a negative word, so should we use it to describe God's love? It is part of a song we sing, but where does that idea come from? Dave explores a famous parable to unpack something of the radical and self-giving love of God for us, and for the world.

Foundational words for God's people: love God with all your heart, soul and strength. Do we? And do we, like they are instructed, constantly remind each other of this heart and this calling in everything we are and do?
