"Through the Lens of Jesus" Dave Criddle recalling God’s promises to Israel where He repeatedly reassured them with the words ‘I am’ and ‘I will’, encouraging them to truly believe that He would rescue and redeem them. The people, however, were reluctant to believe these promises because of their recent experience and discouragement. Perhaps we also struggle to have complete confidence in God’s promises …..but we are encouraged to recall once again that God continues to say ‘I am’ and ‘I will’.

Today we focus on the elements of this which suggest that God longs to move in a new and fresh way amongst us ….to lead us into territory which we have not hitherto experienced and struggle to imagine! This is the very transition which Paul longed/prayed for in Ephesians 3.

God is always ready to be involved in our lives, to provide all that we need but we need to allow his intervention and enable Him to have his way with us!

"God Speaks Into Our Uncertainty" Stephen Gaukroger looking at Psalm 46, considering how this can speak into our uncertainty, both on a national and personal level. Economic uncertainties and concerns around the shape and impact of Brexit, together with individual challenges around parents, children or unemployment mean that the refuge and strength which God affords are especially pertinent….but how do we find that stillness among the clamour to ‘know that He is God’?!

His desire expressed throughout scripture is to enable abundant life, free from the restrictions which any form of illness presents. There are times in everyone’s life when

we need healing of some nature, and God is the great physician…..able to bring healing to each of us in a unique and personal way.

"He Gets Us Across the Line" Malcolm Duncan considering that God does not necessarily point the way forward for us, but that he does lead us - doesn’t always show us the map, but does accompany us along the route. He promises that He won’t leave us, no matter how tough the going or how unclear the way forward…..but that He will go with us.

our attention to the co-existence of good with evil. This passage challenges us to consider whether we have grown lax in our awareness of and attitude towards evil, and also leads us to ask ourselves whether we are more akin to the wheat or the weed!
